Master of Business Administration (MBA) - 2 yrs

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent percentage. While degrees in any field are accepted, backgrounds in business, economics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or related disciplines are preferred. A minimum of 3 years of Post Qualification managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience as of the date of beginning of the program. The candidate should submit a SOP not exceeding 2000 words and should include talk about your career path, interests, professional contributions, goals and the driving force behind pursuing MBA in Fintech Management. Candidates shall be required to submit a “No Objection Certificate”/ “Consent letter” for pursuing MBA from their employer. (In case of self-employed, a declaration with respect to the same will be required.)

Selection Process

Candidates fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria as above shall be called for the PI process. The Committee in consultation with the Competent Authority will decide the number of candidates to be called for PI. 1. Upon being shortlisted, the candidate shall appear for a personal interview in front of the Expert panel. The selection panel will assess the suitability of the candidates based on their managerial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset. Candidate will be especially assessed based on Statement of Purpose (SOP) apart from academic record, professional accomplishments, etc. 2. Merit List will be prepared based on Personal Interview, Academic Qualification, Relevant Work Experience and Statement of Purpose (SOP).

MBA for Working Professionals - 2 yrs

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent percentage. Completed at least 3 (three) years of full time managerial/professional experience after Bachelor’s Degree as on the last date for submission of applications. The programme is open to all nationalities. Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PWD/EWS candidates as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

Self Financed Candidates 1. In the case of self-financed candidates fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria as above shall be called for the PI process. The Admission Committee in consultation with the Competent Authority will decide the number of candidates to be called for PI. Candidates shall be required to submit a “No Objection Certificate”/ “Consent letter” for pursuing the MBA for working professionals at IIM Sambalpur – Delhi Campus from his or her employer. 2. Industry Sponsored Candidates Industry Sponsored candidates are allowed admission in the MBA for working professionals at IIM Sambalpur -Delhi Centre. A sponsored candidate must have been in service of the sponsoring organization for at least two years at the time of admission. The selection of candidates under this category will be primarily based on personal interview. The candidates will be required to submit a letter from the sponsoring company. A candidate selected under this category will have to abide by all the Rules and Regulations applicable to student admitted under the normal category. 3. Statement of Purpose (SOP) Candidates should submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) not exceeding 2000 words. The SOP should include a discussion of the candidate’s career path, interests, professional contributions, goals, and the driving force behind their pursuit of an MBA for working professionals. Personal Interview 4. Upon being shortlisted the candidates shall appear for a personal interview in front of the selection panel. The selection panel will assess the suitability of the candidates based on their managerial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset. 5. Preparing The Merit List The Final Merit List for admission to the program will be prepared based on the candidate’s Personal Interview, Academic Qualification, diversity and Statement of Purpose (SOP). The Personal Interview will be given a weightage of 60 percent. The candidate’s profile, which comprises of their Past Academic Performance and Diversity will each be given a weightage of 10 percent. The Statement of Purpose (SOP) & Career Objectives submitted by the candidate will carry a weightage of 20 percent.

Executive MBA - 2 yrs

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent percentage. And A minimum 3 years of Post Qualification managerial/ entrepreneurial/ professional experience as on last date of application.

Selection Process

Candidates shall be required to submit a “No Objection Certificate”/ “Consent letter” at the time of admission for pursuing the Executive MBA at IIM Sambalpur from his or her employer. Industry Sponsored Candidates Industry Sponsored candidates are allowed admission in the Executive MBA Program of IIM Sambalpur. A Sponsored candidate must have been in service of the sponsoring organization for at least two years at the time of admission. The selection of candidates under this category will be primarily based on personal interview. The candidates will be required to submit a letter from the sponsoring company. A candidate selected under this category will have to abide by all the Rules and regulations applicable to students taken under normal category.
