Master of Business Administration (MBA) - 2 yrs

Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidates need to have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized university.

Admission Process

1. The first stage comprises of shortlisting candidates for Personal Interview (PI) 2. The second stage comprises of shortlisting candidates for decision regarding admission to the MBA Program. IIM Amritsar uses a composite score of multiple parameters like marks in 10 th and 12 th Board exams, marks of Graduation Program, quality of Work Experience, Gender and Academic Diversity, and candidate's section wise scores in CAT to judge the suitability of a candidate for the MBA Program.

MBA Business Analytics - 2 yrs

Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidates need to have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognized university.

Selection Process

1.The first shortlist comprises of candidates who have secured a pre-determined minimum percentile score on each section and overall score of CAT as given furthur: Overall: Gen/EWS = 90, NC-OBC = 80, SC = 55, ST/PwD = 40 Sectional: Gen/EWS = QA: 80, DILR: 75, VRC: 75 NC-OBC = QA: 65, DILR: 60, VRC: 60 SC = QA: 55, DILR: 50, VRC: 50 ST/PwD = QA: 35, DILR: 35, VRC: 35. The pre-PI score is calculated for each candidate based on the above weights, and the above process results in a list of candidates ranked in order of merit based on their pre-PI score. 2. From the ranking list prepared by the process outlined above, a reasonable number of candidates will be called for PI based on the order of their rank. The post-PI score for each candidate is calculated based on the aggregate scores obtained after applying the following weights. (a) Personal Interview (PI) = 70%, (b) Work experience = 10%, (c) Gender diversity = 10%, and (d) Academic diversity = 10%. Pre-PI scores and post-PI scores (with appropriate weightages) will be used cumulatively in the final phase. Aggregate Score = 0.6 X Pre-PI Score + 0.4 X Post-PI Score. 3. The final offers of admission to candidates selected from each category will be made strictly on the basis of the final rank based on the aggregate score.

1. The admission process for the MBA-HR programme at IIM Amritsar begins with the shortlisting of candidates based on their CAT 2025 performance. The minimum CAT percentile cut-offs required for the first shortlist vary by category: Overall: General = 90, EWS = 90, NC-OBC = 80, SC = 55, ST/PwD=40. Offers of admission are extended strictly according to the final aggregate score, ensuring a transparent and merit-based selection process.

Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) - 2 yrs

Eligibility Criteria

1. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with consistent academic performance. 2. Minimum 3 years of progressive work experience in a managerial/entrepreneurial/ professional role as on May 31, 2025,after completion of Graduation. 3. Must have a valid CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE score to apply for the program. Alternatively, the interested candidates can also choose to take the IIM Amritsar Admission Test (IAAT) along the lines of the CAT Examination. GATE, GRE, and GMAT score validity: Not more than three years old.
