Master of Business Administration (MBA) - 2 yrs

Eligibility Criteria

1. For Regular Candidates (i). Valid score in the Common Admissions Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management. (ii). Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with first class or 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University. (iii). Final year students (of the above mentioned programme) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they meet all requirements for the qualifying degree before the start of the program and will produce provisional certificate of completion within two months of joining the program. (iv). IIT Graduates who have obtained a CGPA of 8 and above on 10 are exempted from CAT score. 2. For Company Sponsored Candidates: (i). To be sponsored by their employers and forward their application through proper channel. (ii). Minimum work experience of two years in the sponsoring organization. (iii). Valid score in the Common Admissions Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management. (iv). Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with first class or 60% marks (earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University. 3. For Defense Personnel: (i). Defense personnel are exempted from the national level entrance test. Should apply through respective government agencies. (ii). Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with 55% marks (earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University. 4. For Non-Resident Indian and Foreign Nationals: (i). Valid GMAT Score (ii). Graduates (or professional qualification equivalent to that of a University degree recognized by the UGC) in any discipline with first class or 60% marks earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University (iii). Final year students (of the above mentioned programme) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they meet all requirements for the qualifying degree before the start of the program and will produce provisional certificate of completion within two months

Post Graduate Program for Executives in Visionary Leadership for Manufacturing (PGPEX – VLM) - 1 yr

Eligibility Criteria

1. First-Class Graduate Engineers with First Division/ First Class Marks from Secondary Examination onwards 2.Work Experience (i) Self-sponsored candidates, not in service. - Minimum 4½ (four and a half) to maximum 10 (ten) years of work experience in manufacturing, engineering, and related sectors; holding responsibilities in production planning and control, research, design and development, quality control, plant engineering, maintenance, supply chain, construction, etc. (ii) Sponsored candidates need to have a minimum of 4½ (four and a half) years of work experience only. In these cases, there is no upper limit of experience. (iii) Candidates on study leave also need to have a minimum of 4½ (four and a half) years of work experience only. There is no upper limit of experience in these cases. They are eligible to participate in the placement process only on submission of a No Objection Certificate from the Company/ Employer. Please note that participation in the placement process does not guarantee placement. (iv)The date of computation of the number of years of work experience shall be 28th February 2024 for the academic year 2024- 25, i.e., 18th batch. (v) Candidates are advised to ensure meeting the minimum years of work experience to remain eligible for admissions. If not, the candidature will not be considered further for the admissions process and the application fee will not be refunded.

Selection Process

1. Based on the eligibility criteria shortlisted candidates are called for a written test Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing Admission Test (VLMAT) consisting of three sections Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Engineering Ability. The written test (VLMAT) is conducted in four cities (Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi). The mode of conducting the offline written 2. examination (VLMAT) is subject to the advisories and guidelines of the Central and State Governments during the admission process for the 2024-25 Batch. 3. Candidates shortlisted after the written test (VLMAT) are called for a Personal Interview (PI) at the host institute. The mode of the interview will be finalized depending on the circumstances and Government advisories. 4. Selection will be based on academic records, work experience, and performance in the Written Test (VLMAT) and Personal Interview. The competent authority of the Tri-Institute can change the admissions criteria at a later stage depending on the feasibility of conducting a written test (VLMAT) or personal interview at a later stage. The decision of the competent authority will be treated as final.

Admission Process

1. Selection of candidates will be made on the basis of his/her academic background, which has to be consistently first division/first class from school (Secondary Examination) Board examination level to graduation level, relevant work experience, employer’s recommendations, performance in the Written Test 2. Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing Admission Test (VLMAT) and Personal Interviews to be conducted jointly by IIMC, IITK, and IITM.

Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) - 2 yrs

Admission Process

1. Online Applications for admission to the EMBA program opens on 7th September 2024. 2. The shortlisted candidates will go through the Selection process at the IIT Madras Campus on 8, 9 & 10 November 2024, which comprises of a written aptitude test and a personal interview. 3. Written aptitude test will be based on -Business Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability. 4. Results will be announced by December 2024 and the program will commence by January 2025.

What is the admission process?

The admission process is based on the CAT test scores (95 percentile or above), followed by PI rounds (personal interview rounds). A candidate's work experience and prior academic record will also be considered and a cumulative score will be made and admissions will be offered based on the cumulative scores.

Can I get into IIT Madras DOMS MBA with 90 CAT percentile?

While IIT Madras DOMS generally prefers 94+ percentile, a 90 percentile may still qualify if you have strong academics (90%+), work experience, or a technical background.
